Dutch low-cost carrier Transavia.com has announced it is to begin operations in Denmark, following the bankruptcy of fellow LCC Sterling Airlines. Transavia.com has began operating flights for a major Danish tour operator from Billund Airport.
The airline is expected to commence scheduled flights in December 2008 from Copenhagen to 10 destinations: Malaga, Alicante, Barcelona, Faro, Rome, Nice, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Tenerife and Las Palmas. 2 Boeing 737 aircraft will be deployed for the flights.
Transavia.com is an independent member of the Air France-KLM Group and is based at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. The airline operates scheduled flights to 19 destinations and charter flights to over 60 destinations across Europe.
