Korean Air has launched a car rental service for members of its frequent flyer programme, Skypass, on Jeju island. Using their mileage points, members may rent a car for a day at Hanjin Rent-a-Car on the island, rather than pay the usual rental fee.
For renting a 2,000 cc medium-sized vehicle for 24 hours, 8,000 mileage points are deducted from the member’s account. The usual rental charge for the vehicle is KRW 59,000. The new service offers customers constant per-day basis car rental throughout the year. To utilize the service, members need to make a reservation on the Korean Air website at least 2 days in advance.
Headquartered in Seoul, Korean Air is the national carrier of South Korea and the country’s largest airline. Operating more than 100 aircraft, the airline serves 115 cities in 38 countries and is amongst the top 20 airlines in the world in terms of number of passengers carried.
