Malaysian budget hotel operator Tune Hotels.com has expanded its portfolio in the Southeast Asian country with the opening of 3 new hotels in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Kuching. Each of the 615 new rooms offer guests a clean bed, ensuite shower and ceiling fan, with the option to add-on amenities such as air-conditioning, toiletries and wireless internet access.


Tune Hotels.com KLIA-LCCT Airport

Located just 7 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) and 10 minutes from the Sepang F1 circuit, Tune Hotels.com KLIA-LCCT Airport provides budget accomodation to travellers with early morning or late night flights. The hotel has 222 rooms on 5 floors and also offers a 3 hour short-stay option between 0900 hrs and 1800 hrs, ideal for passengers on transit at the airport. Other facilities include a cafe, convenience store, self-service laundry facilities, money changer and transportation to the airport and downtown Kuala Lumpur.


Tune Hotels.com Downtown Penang

The 258-room Tune Hotels.com Downtown Penang is situated in the heart of Georgetown and 20 minutes from the international airport. The 10-floor property offers easy access to Penang’s heritage sites and tourist attractions, such as the Kapitan Keling Mosque, Khoo Kongsi, Fort Cornwallis and the Komtar building. For the convenience of guests, the hotel offers a 24-hour convenience store, cafe, magazine kiosk, self-service laundry facilities, foot relexology spa and ground transportation service.

Located on the Kuching Waterfront and 15 minutes from Kuching International Airport, Tune Hotels.com Waterfront Kuching offers guests 113 double and 22 single rooms. The hotel is surrounded by shopping and entertainment outlets, with the Tun Jugah shopping complex a 5 minute walk away. Hotel facilities for guests include a transportation/tour desk and 24-hour security.


Founded by AirAsia’s Dato’ Tony Fernandes, Tune Hotels.com operates a chain of limited service hotels in Malaysia. The first hotel opened in 2007 in Kuala Lumpur, followed by a 165-room property in Kota Kinabalu. The group has announced plans for hotels in Ipoh, Johor Bahru, Kuantan and Miri in Malaysia, as well as international expansion with hotels in Bali, Indonesia.
