Rocco Forte’s The Augustine, Prague Opens

The Rocco Forte Collection has opened its first property in Prague, Czech Republic. Occupying a UNESCO heritage-listed building, The Augustine is located in the heart of the Czech capital near Prague Castle and the famous Charles Bridge. Prague Ruzyne International Airport is 30 minutes away by car and the city’s main railway station is 15 minutes away from the hotel.

 

Each of the 101 rooms and suites offer magnificent views of Prague Castle or the hotel grounds. Several room types are available to guests, including the Classic, Executive, Super Deluxe Castle View, Junior Suite and Studio. Each room features luxury king-, queen- or twin beds with 100% linen sheets and hypoallergenic pillows, heated marble bathrooms, flat screen televisions, high speed internet access, multi-line telephones, a large writing desk, in-room safe and a well-stocked minibar.

 

The Augustine also offers 5 suite types – Classic Suite (54 square meter), Deluxe Castle View Suite (77 square meter), The Thomas Suite (117 square meter), Tower Suite (63 square meter) and The Charles Suite (149 square meter). The Monastery, an all-day dining restaurant housed in a glass-covered courtyard, offers a European brasserie menu for up to 90 guests. The Brewery Bar is housed in the cellar of the former St. Thomas brewery, serves the renowned beer of the same name with Czech tapas and other microbrews from the country. Signature cocktails and live entertainment can be found at Tom’s Bar, situated in a double-height hall with restored 19th century Baroque frescoes.

 

For recreation, the hotel boasts a spacious health and fitness center with a 80 square meter gymnasium, 4 treatment rooms, sauna and relaxation areas. Guests requiring business and conference services have a purpose-designed meetings facility at their convenience, comprising a business center, 4 meeting rooms and 2 boardrooms while a 196 square meter function room caters for banquets and conferences.
