Finnair Deploys A330s To Osaka

Finnair has expanded the number of destinations operated by its new Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with the introduction of the widebodied jet on the Helsinki-Osaka route today. Osaka is the fourth destination for the aircraft, after New York, Delhi and Nagoya.

Flight AY 077 departs Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport at 1720 hrs daily and arrives in Osaka-Kansai International Airport at 0855 hrs the next morning. The return flight, AY 078, takes off from Osaka at 1100 hrs, landing back in Helsinki at 1510 hrs.

Configured in a 2-class layout, the A330s offer passengers greater levels of comfort with new cabin products in both classes. In Business Class, passengers can dine, relax or sleep in 42 lie-flat seats from Recaro, equipped with in-seat power and USB connectivity, with new full-flat seats to be introduced in November 2009. Economy Class passengers will benefit from new, ergonomically-designed slimline seats with a 32-inch seat pitch and in-seat power supply. All passengers enjoy Finnair’s inflight entertainment system with audio-video on-demand.

Established in 1923, Finnair operates more than 60 aircraft from its hub at Helsinki to international destinations in Asia and Europe, as well as 13 domestic destinations.
