Bahrain Air Announces Iraq Services

Bahrain Air, the privately-owned airline from the Kingdom of Bahrain, has followed state-owned carrier Gulf Air in offering flights to the cities of Baghdad and Najaf in Iraq from its base in Bahrain. Beginning 28 August 2009, the airline will fly 2 times a week to the Iraqi capital and 5 times a week to Najaf using Airbus A319 aircraft.


Bahrain – Baghdad

Flight 2B 470 departs Bahrain at 1150 hrs on Wednesdays and Fridays, arriving in Baghdad at 1345 hrs. The return flight, 2B 471, takes off from Baghdad at 1545 hrs and lands back in Bahrain International Airport at 1745 hrs.


Bahrain – Najaf

Flight 2B 474 departs Bahrain International Airport on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 1150 hrs, arriving in Najaf at 1335 hrs. On the return leg, flight 2B 475 takes off at 1535 hrs for a 1725 hrs arrival back in Bahrain.


Incorporated in July 2007, Bahrain Air operates a fleet of 8 Airbus A319 and A320 jets to destinations in Africa, the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent, including Abu Dhabi, Aleppo, Alexandria, Amman, Beirut, Damascus, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kathmandu, Khartoum, Kochi, Kozhikode, Kuwait, Mashad, Mumbai and Riyadh.
