The Leading Hotels Of The World Unveils New Members

New York-based hotel collection The Leading Hotels of the World has unveiled the latest additions to its global portfolio of hotels and resorts. 5 new properties located in Australia, China, Italy and the USA have been accepted under the group’s Leading Hotels of the World and Leading Small Hotels of the World brands, joining more than 450 counterparts around the world.

The Observatory Hotel

Located near Sydney’s historic Rocks, the Harbour Bridge and the central business district, The Observatory Hotel offers 78 guestrooms and 22 suites with views of Observatory Hill and the busy harbour. The Galileo restaurant, recognized for its fine French cuisine and excellent wine list, is reminiscent of a grand Parisian salon, while the Globe Bar presents a sanctuary away from the crowds to relax or entertain. The hotel has ample conference facilities and a dedicated business center, following which guests can be pampered by the Day Spa Sydney’s signature treatments, while a swimming pool, tennis court and gymnasium provide ample recreation options.

Fuchun Resort

Inspired by a 700-year-old painting and surrounded by mountains, lakes, as well as a working tea plantation, Hangzhou’s Fuchun Resort promises total relaxation and revitalization. From its guestrooms, suites and villas to gourmet dining at its 3 food & beverage outlets (Asian Corner, Club 8 and Lake Lounge), the resort exudes a sense of tranquility desired by busy travellers. The resort’s recreation centerpiece is the magnificent 18-hole, par 72 golf course sculpted from the surrounding hills, complemented by a list of wellness activities such as tai chi, yoga and meditation.

Grand Hotel Timeo

Recently reopened by Orient Express, the 72-room Grand Hotel Timeo has played host to glamorous movie stars such as Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor and Marcello Mastroianni when they visited Sicily, wowing them with her charming style and the timeless panorama of the coastline and Mount Etna. Exquisite Sicilian and Mediterranean cuisine can be found at the Il Dito e la Luna restaurant, with the casual dining Giardino di Bacco and the Literary Terrace offering varied dining options. When not exploring the sights of Taormina, guests can enjoy the comforts of the Wellness Centre and outdoor swimming pool.

The Villa By Barton G.

Situated within the former Versace Mansion in Miami’s South Beach, The Villa By Barton G. opened earlier this year after a multi-million dollar renovation, offering 10 custom suites and the highest levels of service and privacy. Gastronomes will delight in the elegant continental cuisine at The Dining Room, complemented by the intimacy of 3 unique lounges (Rooftop Lounge, The G. Lounge and Onyx Lounge). A key highlight of the hotel is the Thousand Mosaic Pool, built by Gianni Versace, where guests can enjoy the warm Miami sun.

The Greenwich Hotel

No 2 rooms at The Greenwich Hotel are alike, giving this 88-room property in one of New York’s most desirable neighbourhoods a distinct personality. Conceived with a regard for comfort and handcrafted beauty, guests will find an environment that is furnished with rich natural materials at the hands of craftsmen. For dining, the stylish Locanda Verde restaurant offers Italian fare, while the Drawing Room is perfect for a casual meeting over lunch, before heading to the Shibui Spa for a relaxing massage.
