Sri Lanka’s Saman Villas Reopens After Renovations

Luxury hotel collection Great Hotels of the World has announced the reopening of Sri Lanka’s Saman Villas. Perched on a rocky headland that divides 2 golden beaches on the southwest coast, the resort recently undergone a USD 907,410 refurbishment program to transform it with a new look and feel while keeping its distinct Sri Lankan concept.

The 26 suites and a 2-storey villa have been upgraded with new furnishings focusing on luxurious comfort, including premium bedding, open-air showers with oversized terrazo bathtubs, LCD televisions with CD players, high-speed internet access, telephone, in-room safe and minibar. A terrace or balcony with day bed and dining table provides magnificent views of the sea and the coast, while the villa also features a spacious living area and private swimming pool.

Saman Villas’ main restaurant and terrace offer international cuisine and local favorites, with the option for meals at various locations to create a romantic dining experience. Guests can enjoy a candlelit dinner on the beach, or on an outcrop overlooking the sea, by the spa’s water garden or in the surrounds of Saman Villas’ lush tropical gardens.

Complementing the aesthetic appeal is the all-suite Sahana Spa, which provides an array of treatments including the exclusive Saman Elixir treatment using the finest essential oils.
