AirAsia To Introduce Bali – Darwin Flights

Low cost carrier AirAsia has announced it will launch services between Bali and Darwin in time for the holiday season. From 23 December 2010, affiliate Indonesia AirAsia will operate the daily flights with its 180-seat Airbus A320 jets, adding approximately 130,000 seats on the route each year.

Flight QZ 8632 will depart Denpasar at 2350 hrs, arriving in Darwin at 0400 hrs the next morning. The return flight, QZ 8633, takes off from Darwin International Airport at 0445 hrs and lands at Ngurah Rai International Airport at 0600 hrs. The schedules will offer Australian travellers same-day connections to other Southeast Asian destinations including Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Phuket and Surabaya.

AirAsia’s entry to the route, which is popular amongst Australian leisure travellers, will provide competition for rival Jetstar. For more information, visit www.airasia.com.
