Tune Hotels Expands In Borneo With Bintulu Property

Malaysia’s Tune Hotels has opened its latest property in Bintulu, central Sarawak. Located at Assyakirin Commerce Square, the 101-room Tune Hotels Bintulu is the group’s second hotel in the state and is targeted at leisure and business travellers to the “Gas Town”, which enjoys good air connectivity with Kuala Lumpur and Kuching as well as a strategic location on the Trans-Borneo highway.

Like its sister hotels, the property follows the brand’s proven formula of clean, safe and basic guestrooms. Averaging 9 to 11 square meters, each is furnished with comfortable bedding, ensuite shower, ceiling fan, in-room safe and power outlet, with guests having the option to pay for the use of air-conditioning, television, in-room wireless internet, towels and toiletries.

The hotel provides 24-hour security and keycard access, while the Ipoh Town Kopitiam and Sport Bar on the ground floor offers light meals and drinks. There is also a travel desk that can arrange excursions to the nearby Similajau National Park and longhouses of the ethnic Iban, Orang Ulu and Melanau communities in the Bintulu area.

Tune Hotels Bintulu joins 8 other hotels in Malaysia, with a further 3 international properties located in Bali and London. Later this month, Tune Hotels will open the 173-room Tune Hotels Kota Bharu in the state of Kelantan. For more information, visit www.tunehotels.com.
