Flydubai Plans Second Indian Route

Middle Eastern low cost carrier Flydubai has unveiled plans to launch its second route to India from 11 June 2011. Following the successful commencement of operations between Dubai and Lucknow last year, the airline will fly 3 times weekly flights between the emirate and Hyderabad, providing a low cost connection to and from South India.

Flight FZ 435 will depart Dubai International Airport Terminal 2 at 2030 hrs, arriving in Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 0145 hrs the next morning. On the return leg, flight FZ 436 takes off from Hyderabad at 0230 hrs for an early morning arrival back in Dubai at 0440 hrs. Flydubai will operate its 189-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the route.

Flydubai is targeting the large Indian expatriate community living in the UAE for demand on the route, which is also served by fellow Dubai-based carrier Emirates and India’s Air India and Jet Airways. With the addition of Hyderabad, the airline’s network now comprises 37 destinations across Africa, the Middle East, Central and South Asia.
