Sofitel Expands In China With Guangzhou Opening

French hotel operator Accor continues to grow its portfolio in China with the opening of a new property in Guangzhou under its luxury Sofitel brand. The 493-room Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich is ideally located in the heart of the Tianhe business district and minutes away from the East Railway Station connecting the city to Dongguan, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.


The guestrooms and suites feature decor elegantly blending contemporary Asian design with Sofitel’s signature Parisian chic. The centerpiece of each accommodation is the luxurious and comfortable Sofitel MyBed, with spacious bathrooms featuring rainforest showers and television mirrors. In-room entertainment is delivered via the 42-inch flatscreen television with DVD, iPod docking station and Bose Wave sound system, while complimentary high-speed internet access allow guests to stay connected with family and friends. Other amenities in each guestroom includes a workdesk, in-room safe and minibar.


5 restaurants and bars elevate Guangzhou’s gastronomy scene with its array of offerings and culinary presentations. 2 on 988 is the lively all-day dining restaurant with 5 open kitchens serving up international buffet spreads, while Le Chinois offers some of the finest Cantonese cuisine in the comfort of the 8 private rooms or the vibrant main dining area.
