Jetstar Asia will operate its 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft on both routes. The addition of a second Vietnamese gateway to its regional network is expected to bolster the airline’s position in the market against rivals AirAsia and Tiger Airways, where it can leverage on traffic fed by its Vietnamese affiliate, Jetstar Pacific.
