Jumeirah Debuts In Continental Europe

Dubai-based hotel operator Jumeirah celebrates a milestone this week with the opening of the new Jumeirah Frankfurt, its first hotel in continental Europe. The 218-room hotel adjoins the MyZeil shopping mall and is located in the heart of the city next to the Palais Thurn-und-Taxis, with the Messe Frankfurt exhibition centre 5 minutes away.

Designed with a contemporary, minimalist feel, the hotel is adorned with more than 250 pieces of original artwork by German artist Hartwig Ebersbach. A strong focus on technology sees the traditional lift buttons replaced by a touch panel, while the guestrooms and suites are equipped with motion sensors that regulate the temperature and control the lighting.

The stylish accommodations combine functionality with luxury design and are furnished with King-sized or twin beds, marble bathroom, 42-inch LCD television, iPod docking station, complimentary high-speed internet access, workdesk, minibar and coffee maker. Discerning guests will also enjoy the breathtaking views of Frankfurt and the expansive living space available from the lavish Presidential Suite.

Jumeirah Frankfurt presents 3 elegant dining outlets for guests and locals. Designed by leading Japanese designer Takashi Sugimoto and his Superpotato team, Max on One has a diverse and unique atmosphere in which to sample the culinary creations of Executive Chef Martin Steiner. The buzzing Le Petit Palais is an informal bistro-style restaurant serving light meals and snacks alongside a selection of patisserie items, while the Ember Lounge & Bar serves as an intimate meeting spot for the after work crowd over cocktails and canapes.

With more than 730 square meters of flexible meeting space, business travellers and meeting planners are spoilt for choice when organizing events ranging from intimate gatherings to large scale conventions. The stunning Cristal Ballroom features over 105,000 crystals embedded into the ceiling, while floor-to-ceiling windows allow for plenty of natural lighting. The brand’s signature Talise Spa opens its newest European outpost at the hotel, while guests looking for a workout enjoy complimentary access to the Fitness First health club at MyZeil.

Currently operating 3 European hotels, Jumeirah is aggressively pushing into Europe, with its next property on the continent set to open this winter in Baku, Azerbaijan. The brand is also developing the Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa, planned to open in March 2012 in Mallorca.
