MGallery Adds Third Property In Vietnam

Accor’s MGallery Collection has expanded its footprint in Southeast Asia with the addition of the lovingly restored La Residence Hue Hotel & Spa in Vietnam. Located on the banks of the Perfume River overlooking Hue’s former Imperial Citadel, the 81-year old hotel was originally built as part of the French governor’s residence and features distinctive art deco design.

122 guestrooms and suites are immaculately decorated to preserve the comforts and atmosphere of a classic colonial villa. These include the Signature Suites housed in the original mansion building, featuring four-poster beds, art deco furniture, spacious terraces and modern amenities, while the individually-themed Colonial Junior and Colonial Suites transport guests to places including ancient China and Egypt. Rounding up the offerings is the impressive Suite du President with its expansive terrace and commanding views of the property.

Contributing to Hue’s reputation as a culinary center in Vietnam, La Residence Hue Hotel & Spa’s Restaurant Le Parfum presents exquisite French cuisine combining local flavours in a romantic setting on its balconies or cruising the Perfume River, while its cooking classes reveal the secrets of the Ben Ngu Market and Vietnamese cuisine. Guests can also sample fine vintages and cigars at Bar Le Governeur while taking in the spectacular frescoe created by French artist Roland Renauc.

Business travellers and conference organizers seeking a unique venue will find one at the hotel’s spacious ballroom and 2 private boardrooms. Both are equipped with a full range of conference equipment and meeting amenities, with the hotel also having a refreshing garden ideally suited for breakout sessions or outdoor parties. For recreation, guests can enjoy rejuvenating treatments at Le Spa before a relaxing swim in the saltwater swimming pool, workout in the gymnasium or play a game of tennis, while trinkets and local couture are available at La Boutique.

La Residence Hue Hotel & Spa joins 2 other MGallery properties in Vietnam: La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc and Hotel de l’Opera Hanoi. Launched in September 2008, the collection now comprises 42 hotels and resorts across Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and South America.
