Kempinski Opens New Hotel In China

German hoteliers Kempinski has opened its latest property in China, as it continues its growth strategy outside of Europe. The new Kempinski Hotel Huizhou is located in the city’s Jiangbei business district opposite the convention and exhibition centre, with easy access to the airport and railway station.


Designed with European flair and luxury, the 340 guestrooms and suites boast modern amenities aimed at ensuring the comfort of guests. Each accommodation is finished in high quality materials and furnished with luxury bedding, a marble bathroom, flatscreen television, connectivity port, high-speed internet access, workstation, in-room safe, minibar and coffee-/tea-making facilities. Suite guests also enjoy the conveniences of a dedicated butler and access to the hotel’s Executive Lounge.


Kempinski Hotel Huizhou offers a variety of dining options serving varied cuisines for guests. Heading the offerings are the hotel’s 2 specialty restaurants, Dragon Palace and Edo, presenting authentic Chinese and Japanese cuisines. A taste of Germany is provided by the in-house Paulaner Brauhaus micro-brewery and restaurant, where guests can enjoy pork knuckles, sausages and sauerkraut alongside freshly brewed beer. Seasons, the all-day dining restaurant, serves an extensive buffet spread and specialty dishes from show kitchens, while homemade breads, cookies, pastries, cakes and pralines are available at the Kempi Deli. In the evenings, The Lounge becomes the place to be seen while enjoying a cocktail or nightcap.


Business facilities include over 3,000 square meters of meeting space catering for numbers of up to 1,000 guests, with support provided by the fully-equipped business centre, while leisure travellers can relax and rejuvenate at the hotel’s spa and fitness centre. Aromatherapy massages, reflexology, beauty and hot stone treatments are available, while the sauna and steam room, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and gymnasium ensure an abundence of activities for guests.


The Kempinski Hotel Huizhou joins a growing portfolio of hotels and resorts in China for the brand, with a presence in Beijing, Chengdu, Dalian, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Wuxi, Xian and Yinchuan.
