Dorchester Collection Opens 45 Park Lane

The Dorchester Collection has opened its newest property in London. The highly-anticipated 45 Park Lane is strategically located in Mayfair with easy access to exclusive shopping areas including Bond Street and Knightsbridge. Internationally-acclaimed architect Thierry W. Despont has combined contemporary sophistication with art deco influences, with art featuring strongly throughout the hotel with 16 of Damien Hirst’s limited edition “Psalms” series and original works from 10 leading British artists displayed.

Rich dark materials contrast with light colours and sensual textures in the 45 guestrooms and suites. Ranging from the 30-square meter Superior Room to the luxurious 170-square meter Penthouse Suite, each accommodation option boasts views of Hyde Park and is furnished with modern and stylish amenities including King- or Queen-sized bedding, an exquisite marble bathroom with spa bath products, Bang&Olufsen television, high-speed internet access, separate living area with bespoke furniture and minibar.

With dining headlined by a world-renowned celebrity chef, 45 Park Lane is set to elevate the dining scene for guests and Londoners alike. Occupying the ground floor and seating 70 guests, Wolfgang Puck’s CUT at 45 Park Lane is the first European outpost for his award-winning CUT steakhouses, offering outstanding steaks, succulent seafood, a superb wine list and impeccable service. A striking central staircase leads to the first floor housing the library and Bar 45, a dynamic space serving a varied collection of cocktails and wines paired with a menu of “Rough CUTS” bar snacks.

Hotel guests have access to an exclusive range of recreation and wellness facilities. A media room outfitted with 10 large, comfortable armchairs and state-of-the-art Bang&Olufsen equipment including a 103-inch 3D television and surround sound system is ideal for private screenings or presentations, while the 24-hour Fitness Studio caters to guests looking for a workout. A team of message therapists are available to perform a variety of treatments, complemented with a relaxing bath using signature scents from the bath menu, in the comfort of the guestroom or suite. Outside the hotel, guests can explore Hyde Park on the complimentary Brompton Bicycles, or indulge within the luxurious Dorchester Spa at sister hotel The Dorchester.

With the addition of 45 Park Lane, Dorchester Collection’s portfolio of luxury hotels now covers 9 unique properties in Europe and the USA. The company also welcomed Geneva’s Le Richemond into its fold recently and will reopen the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles next month.
