Los Angeles welcomed a new addition to its boutique hotel portfolio this week with the opening of the new Hotel Wilshire. Occupying a former medical office building that was renovated and remodeled by award-winning Killefer Flammang Architects using sustainable resources and green building materials, the property is located right at the heart of the city’s world-class cultural, dining, entertainment and shopping districts near Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. 


The LEED certified 74-room property is features fresh, contemporary interior design accented by a warm colour palette. Each guestroom and suite (modeled by KNA Design) features grey and yellow tones, with amenities including luxury bedding, spacious bathroom with spa amenities by Lather, flatscreen television with connectivity panel, iPod docking station, cordless telephones, in-room safe, minibar and coffee maker with complimentary gourmet coffees and teas.


A key element of Hotel Wilshire is its beautifully landscaped rooftop, where Chef Eric Greenspan helms The Roof on Wilshire. Serving cuisine described as bold american with twists on classic comfort foods, the restaurant is accompanied by a sophisticated bar offering a wide selection of classic and signature cocktails for guests to enjoy by the intimate fire pit. On the 2nd floor, the guest lounge serves breakfast in the mornings for the busy traveller.


Recreation is provided by the rooftop swimming pool with private cabanas, where guests can soak up the Californian sunshine while enjoying views of the Los Angeles skyline, while business travellers and meeting planners can utilize the Penthouse Hospitality Suite, Conference Room and 24-hour Business Center for intimate events.
