Jetstar Asia Takes Off For Ningbo

Jetstar Asia has grown its footprint in China with the launch of 3 times weekly flights between Singapore and Ningbo, its eighth destination in Greater China after Guilin, Haikou, Hangzhou, Hong Kong, Macau, Shantou and Taipei. The inaugural flight, 3K 835, touched down at Lishe International Airport on Friday afternoon.

Departing Singapore at 1135 hrs on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, flight 3K 835 arrives in Ningbo at 1630 hrs. The aircraft operates the return flight, 3K 836, taking off from Lishe International Airport at 1720 hrs to land back at Singapore Changi Airport at 2220 hrs in the evening. Jetstar Asia will operate a 180-seat Airbus A320 jet on the route.

Jetstar Asia’s new service cuts travel time between both cities by up to 5 hours and is targeted at business and leisure travellers. The low cost carrier now operates nearly 100 flights each week to China and is gearing up to begin long-haul services between Melbourne and Beijing via its hub in Singapore later this year.
