Miami’s The Waldorf Reopens After Renovation

Miami’s latest boutique hotel has opened on Ocean Drive in the heart of the city and steps from the beach. Characterized as athletic, charismatic and spontaneous, The Waldorf occupies the art deco building of the former Waldorf Towers Hotel and has been renewed by Spanish decorator Ignacio Garcia Vinuesa through contemporary furnishings and colourful textiles.

44 guestrooms and suites, comprising Standard, Deluxe and Junior Suites, have been carefully restored to balance history and modernity. Guests enjoy contemporary furnishings, including luxury bedding, spa-like bathroom, flatscreen television with satellite programming, high-speed internet access, ceiling fan, telephone, in-room safe and minibar, in each of the wooden-floored accommodations.

Located off the hotel’s lobby is the Prime Time Restaurant & Bar, offering contemporary American cuisine. Beyond the property, the cultural vibrancy of the neighbourhood presents a varied selection of dining options for guests, including Baires Grill, Grazie and Wish.

The Waldorf joins Room Mate Hotels’ portfolio of boutique properties, becoming the brand’s fourteenth hotel and second in the USA after the Room Mate Grace in New York. The Spanish chain also boasts a presence in Buenos Aires, Mexico City and across the Atlantic Ocean in Barcelona, Granada, Madrid, Malaga, Oviedo and Salamanca.
