Air Arabia Adds Russian Connection

Air Arabia marked its entry into the Russian aviation market today with the launch of flights to Moscow (Domodedovo). The Sharjah-based low cost carrier will operate 3 weekly flights between the emirate and the Russian capital, following with a double weekly service to Yekaterinburg from 29 October 2011.


Sharjah – Moscow (Domodedovo)

Departing every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, flight G9 265 takes off from Sharjah International Airport at 0900 hrs, arriving in Moscow at 1400 hrs. The return flight, G9 266, departs Domodedovo International Airport at 1500 hrs to land back in Sharjah at 2000 hrs.


Sharjah – Yekaterinburg

Flight G9 271 will depart Sharjah International Airport at 0950 hrs (Saturdays) / 1005 hrs (Wednesdays), arriving at Yekaterinburg’s Koltsovo International Airport at 1535 hrs (Saturdays) / 1550 hrs (Wednesdays). The aircraft operates the return flight G9 272, taking off at 1635 hrs (Saturdays) / 1650 hrs (Wednesdays) and landing back in Sharjah at 2035 hrs (Saturdays) / 2055 hrs (Wednesdays).


Air Arabia will operate its Airbus A320 jets on both routes. The airline joins fellow UAE-based low cost carrier Flydubai in serving Russia, while Etihad Airways and Emirates provide full-service options from Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively.
