Anantara Rebrands Bangkok Resort

Despite recent flood troubles in Bangkok, Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has added a third property in the Thai capital to its portfolio, continuing its growth in the country and abroad. The former Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa, situated on 11 acres of verdent gardens by the Chao Phraya River, has remained unaffected by the rising waters and was recently rebranded as the new Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa.

An oasis in the urban landscape, the resort boasts 407 renovated guestrooms and suites decorated in a simple yet elegant Asian style. Large windows allow natural light to fill the accommodation, complemented by hardwood flooring and cozy sitting areas that bolster the atmosphere of tranquility. Amenities include luxury bedding, a spacious bathroom, LCD television and DVD player, iPod docking station, high-speed internet access, workdesk, in-room safe, minibar and coffee-/tea-making facilities.

Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa’s 10 restaurants and bars offer the cuisines to satisfy varying tastes and appetites. International menus at the Riverside Terrace and The Market present all-day dining choices to the scenic river views, while Benihana, Brio and Trader’s Vic serve up Japanese, Italian and Pacific Rim favorites. Manohra Cruises takes the dining experience up a notch with fine Thai cuisine served on restored rice barges cruising the Chao Phraya River, and chocolate lovers will love the selection of over 100 types of chocolates, mouth-watering cakes and pastries at Numero Uno, while expertly mixed cocktails, vintage wines and spirits await at the Elephant Bar, Longtail Bar and Loy Nam Bar.

Business travellers and meeting planners can take advantage of the resort’s conference facilities, including the 800-guest Chaophraya Ballroom and the airy Garden Room, for events, meetings or banquets. After a day of business, guests can indulge in the holistic treatments at the Mandara Spa to rejuvenate and relax, with travellers relishing the landscaped swimming pool, jacuzzi, outdoor tennis courts and fitness centre for their leisure and wellness needs.

Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa joins the Anantara Bangkok Sathorn and the Anantara Baan Rajprasong Bangkok Serviced Suites in the Thai capital city. Launched in 2001, there are now 20 Anantara hotels and resorts operating or under development around the world.
