Rocco Forte Hotels Stamps Its Mark In Abu Dhabi

1 year after unveiling details of its first hotel in Abu Dhabi and the Middle East, the Rocco Forte Collection has opened the Rocco Forte Hotel Abu Dhabi in the emirate. Located close to downtown Abu Dhabi, Yas Island and the international airport, the visually striking 11-storey hotel is the company’s flagship property outside of Europe.

Inspired by the rolling sand dunes of the desert and waves of the Arabian Gulf, the green and blue wave-shaped glass building stands out as a jewel amongst its surroundings. Inside, European design sophistication blends with Arabic elements and sensibilities, where a kaleidoscope of glass, marble and mosaics complement modern Middle Eastern art and accessories to create the most stylish address in the city.

The 281 guestrooms and suites boast elegant interiors, with rich colours, ornate patterns and sensuous materials used throughout. Guests will be able to appreciate the bespoke artwork from local artists hanging on the walls as they relax in the comfort of luxury bedding, while the marble and limestone bathroom features the Arabic expression “may it rain on our desert” above the bath. Additional state-of-the-art amenities in each accommodation include a LCD television, iPod docking station, high-speed internet access, workstation, in-room safe, minibar and Nespresso coffee machine. Suite guests will also enjoy more personal space, with complimentary access to the Executive Lounge and a dedicated concierge service.

Rocco Forte Hotel Abu Dhabi’s array of restaurants, lounges and bars are set to spice up the emirate’s dining scene with delectable cuisine and intricate design. Ultra-modern and extremely stylish, Rouge serves contemporary Asian favorites, after which guests can head to the Brown’s Tea Lounge for English or Arabic afternoon tea.
