Four Seasons Baltimore Opens

Luxury hotel group Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts opened the new Four Seasons Baltimore, a chic waterfront property in the heart of Baltimore’s Harbor East, earlier this week. With unmatched views across the water, the urban retreat serves as a base for guests to explore the upscale dining, entertainment and shopping in the vibrant neighbourhood while remaining easily accessible to road, rail and air transportation links.

256 guestrooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows allowing an abundance of natural light complementing the polished stone and rich wood finishes, while abstract art from the Washington Color School lend a touch of sophistication. Guests are pampered by luxurious bedding, marble bathrooms with deep soaking tub and separate walk-in rainforest shower, with state-of-the-art in-room technology including LCD televisions, mp3 connectivity, high-speed internet access, direct-dial telephones, electronic safe, minibar and coffee-/tea-makers available for their convenience.

The hotel’s dining establishments add to Baltimore’s already remarkable offerings, led by Wit & Wisdom – A Tavern by Michael Mina, a contemporary take on a traditional tavern by the celebrity chef focusing on American classics prepared with Eastern Seaboard sensibilities. The European-style Lamill Coffee serves specialty beverages, pastries, savouries and sweet desserts, including freshly-made New Orleans-style beignets with salted caramel dipping sauce. For informal dining and socializing, guests can head to the Pool Bar & Grill or the Bar & Lobby Lounge. When it opens in February 2012, Pabu will be an updated Izakaya-style restaurant presenting small plate, sushi and robata menus, with an impressive selection of over 100 sakes, Asian beers and Asian-inspired cocktails.

Four Seasons Baltimore’s more than 1,860 square meters of event space, including 2 ballrooms, 6 adaptable function rooms and a dedicated boardroom, provide ample venues for corporate and social events, with support from the full-service business center. An extensive spa facility, together with the outdoor swimming pool and fitness center, are available at the convenience of guests when business has been taken care of.

First launched in 1960, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts has built a reputation for fine quality and caring, highly-personalised service. The company today operates 86 properties in 35 countries on every continent except Antarctica and has more than 50 projects under development.
