Tiger Airways To Launch Flights To Dhaka

Tiger Airways has announced it is to launch a new Singapore – Dhaka service, its first route to Bangladesh. Beginning 9 March 2012, the low cost carrier will fly 4 times a week between the Southeast Asian city-state and the Bangladeshi capital, joining Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Singapore Airlines.

 

Flight TR 2654 will depart Singapore every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 2315 hrs, arriving in Dhaka at 0115 hrs the next day. The return flight, TR 2655, takes off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 0215 hrs to land back at Changi International Airport at 0815 hrs. The airline will fly a 180-seat Airbus A320 jet on the route.

 

Dhaka will become the sixth South Asian destination for Tiger Airways, which already flies to Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Tiruchirapalli in India. The carrier currently serves 26 destinations within a 5-hour flying distance from its base in Singapore.
