Now Open: InterContinental Tangshan

InterContinental Hotels Group has opened the first international 5-star hotel in Tangshan. Located in the heart of the city directly facing the Tangshan Seismic Memorial and Dazhao Park, the new InterContinental Tangshan celebrated its grand opening last week and welcomed its first guest on Christmas Eve.


285 luxurious guestrooms and suites are designed with the business traveller in-mind, featuring views of downtown Tangshan. With a minimum area of 42 square meters, each is furnished with fine bedding, spacious marble bathroom with separate bathtub and rainforest shower, 42-inch LCD television with integrated sound system, iPod docking station, high-speed internet access and a comfortable work area with electrical and connectivity ports, while a minibar and coffee-/tea-making facilities provide in-room conveniences.


Gourmet dining comes to Tangshan with the hotel’s 3 restaurants. Phoenix is an international all-day dining restaurant with live cooking stations where the tastes of the world are prepared and presented, while Imperial Court showcases the finest Chinese delicacies in the ambience of an elegant environment. Tang Yuan’s innovative Cantonese menu, featuring an extensive selection of handcrafted Dim Sum and tea-infused specialties, is available for lunch and dinner, after which guests can head to the Liu Ling Lounge for wines, liquers, cocktails and other beverages.


InterContinental Tangshan’s pillarless Grand Ballroom offers 1,200 square meters of flexible event space capable of accommodating large-scale conferences or private meetings. 6 other function rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art conferencing technology and awash with natural daylight to create an inspirational space to extract maximum productivity.
