Brussels Airlines Launches New Cabin Products

Star Alliance member Brussels Airlines has launched new cabin seating, which will debut on its upcoming Brussels – New York (John F. Kennedy) route. Passengers can look forward to a full-flat seat in Business Class and greater space and legroom in Economy Class, together with an improved inflight entertainment system.

Business Class

Featuring a staggered 1-2-1/2-1-2 layout, the new cabin caters for couples and solo travellers with 30 seats onboard. Each seat offers a 77.5-inch full-flat bed with an integrated massage function, adjustable lumbar cushion and a ‘pneumatic cushion’ that allows passengers the option to choose between a soft or firm seat. A 15.3-inch personal screen, USB connectivity and in-seat power ports provide passengers with the option to relax or work in comfort, while ample storage spaces are available for shoes, reading materials and personal belongings.

Economy Class

Passengers in Economy Class will benefit from new seats featuring ergonomic design with high-quality materials and an adjustable leather headrest. The slimline characteristic of the seats affords 33 inches of legroom and increased recline, while entertainment is delivered via a 8.9-inch personal screen with USB connectivity and in-seat power supply.

Revolutionary Inflight Entertainment

The airline will also introduce the new RAVE inflight entertainment programme, available in 6 languages and offering over 100 hours of movies, television content, games, audio and e-reading material. The ‘Niceview’ flight information system will offer a 3D view from various camera perspectives where passengers can follow the exact course of their flight.

Brussels Airlines is investing more than 30 million euros to revitalize its long-haul fleet. The airline will progressively refit its Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 jets with the new products, which will be rolled out on its African network in 2012.
