Bangkok Airways To Launch New Kuala Lumpur Connection, Increase Hong Kong Frequency

Travellers heading to the Thai resort island of Koh Samui will soon be able to enjoy greater options for flights. Bangkok Airways will be introducing a new daily Koh Samui – Kuala Lumpur service and increasing flight frequency on its popular Koh Samui – Hong Kong route.


Daily Koh Samui – Kuala Lumpur

Beginning 1 April 2012, flight PG 951 departs Koh Samui at 1755 hrs and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 2025 hrs. The aircraft overnights in the Malaysian capital before operating the return flight, PG 952, at 0820 hrs to arrive back at Koh Samui at 0900 hrs.


Additional 3 Times Weekly Koh Samui – Hong Kong

In response to increased demand, Bangkok Airways will add 3 more flights each week on its Koh Samui – Hong Kong route from 31 March 2012. Flight PG 873 will depart Samui Airport at 1750 hrs every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving at Hong Kong International Airport at 2205 hrs. The return flight, PG 874, takes off from Hong Kong at 0905 hrs every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, landing back in Koh Samui at 1110 hrs.


Both flights will be operated by the airline’s Airbus A319 jet configured in a 2-class layout. The services have been timed to allow for convenient connections in both directions to European services available at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Hong Kong International Airport, providing alternatives to travellers who have traditionally had to connect via Bangkok.
