Tune Hotels Arrives In The Philippines

Tune Hotels, the Malaysian-based budget hotel operator, has kickstarted its expansion into the Philippines with the opening of its first property in the country today. Located a short drive from Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (which will serve as the base for affiliate company AirAsia’s upcoming Philippine operations), the new Tune Hotels Angeles City is the first of 7 hotels planned by the brand and scheduled to open by 2013 across the Philippines.

The 165 guestrooms bear Tune Hotels’ trademarks of comfortable bedding, spacious bathroom with power shower, ceiling fan, in-room safe and power outlets. Air conditioning, satellite television, high-speed internet access, towels and toiletries can be included as chargeable add-ons.

An onsite convenience store compensates for the lack of a restaurant in the hotel. Numerous restaurants and bars can also be found in the surrounding Friendship Road area. Amenities available within the hotel include 24-hour security and parking, while car hire services can be arranged by the transport desk.

Tune Hotels is set to triple its Philippine portfolio within the year, with hotels due to open in Cebu and Manila. Globally, the group is represented by 16 properties in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and the UK, welcoming more than 3 million guests since its inception in 2007.
