Now Open: Rixos The Palm Dubai

Dubai’s man-made island Palm Jumeirah welcomed its latest luxury resort yesterday with the opening of the 261-room Rixos The Palm Dubai, located on the eastern crescent of the island. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the beachfront property with a classic ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a spectacular fireworks display and resort tour.

Spacious accommodations with the use of wood materials and earthy colour tones exude a warm, residential feel and await guests at the resort. Offering panoramic views of the Dubai skyline and the Arabian Gulf from private balconies, each guestroom and suite is exquisitely-appointed with luxury King-sized and twin beds, marble bathrooms with deep-soaking tub and separate rainforest shower, 42-inch flatscreen television with DVD player and high-speed internet access, while a separate living area includes an executive writing desk and comfortable chair.

Staying true to its heritage, Rixos The Palm Dubai presents authentic Turkish cuisine and delicacies at its collection of restaurants and bars. The all-day dining A La Turca restaurant serves a bistro menu dishes from eastern Anatolia, the Aegean and Black Sea regions, while the Chef’s Steak House offers world-class Turkish, Australian and Argentinian meat cuts, with traditional baklava and pastries are baked in-house available daily at La Patisserie. Roccha Mediterranean Restaurant’s sumptious dishes are freshly prepared and served in a convenient and relaxed setting, after which guests can head to the Lobby Bar and Coffee Lounge for a freshly ground and roasted cuppa. The resort’s signature lounge, White X Beach Lounge, together with 4 bars (Blue Bar, Highlights Bar, Nargile Bar and Vitamin Bar) offer plenty of watering holes to escape the desert sun or party the night away.

Meeting planners and business travellers will enjoy the assistance of a dedicated conference concierge and professional meeting coordinators when holding an event at the resort. 2 rooms, the 210-square meter Bodrum and 208-square meter Belek, can accommodate up to 170 guests each. For recreation, guests can indulge in pampering treatments and therapies at the Rixos Royal Spa and fitness center, or participate in the variety of outdoor activities available, including pilates, step aerobics, tennis, water polo, water volleyball, yoga and zumba. Pristine white, private beaches provide sun worshippers with plenty of space to relax under the sun, or enjoy various watersports.

Rixos The Palm Dubai marks Turkey-based Rixos Group’s first foray into the UAE. Established in 2000, the award-winning group currently operates 18 hotels, resorts and residences around Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa.
