Paul Gauguin Cruises Reveal 2013 Itineraries For Second Ship

French Polynesia-based Paul Gauguin Cruises has revealed the 2013 itineraries for its second ship, the 90-passenger mv Tere Moana, which will join the award-winning ms Paul Gauguin in December 2012 after a multifaceted renovation. Specializing in warm-weather destinations, the new vessel will sail 13 itineraries during the summer months in Europe and spend winter in the Caribbean and South America.



A range of 7-night voyages are planned for the ship, departing several Mediterranean ports in France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.


From Barcelona, mv Tere Moana sails to Civitavecchia on 20 April and 17 August 2013, calling at Elba, Florence, Monte Carlo, Portofino, Sete and St. Tropez enroute. Both sailings will continue from Civitavecchia to Venice on 11 May and 24 August 2013, visiting Corfu, Dubrovnik, Hvar, Kotor, Lipari and Taormina.


3 cruises from Venice to Athens will take place on 18 May, 6 July and 31 August 2013, taking passengers to Corfu, the Corinth Canal, Delphi, Dubrovnik, Hydra, Kotor and Zadar, while the 5 sailings from Athens to Istanbul on 25 May, 8 June, 13 July, 27 July and 8 September 2013 will call at Canakkale, Delos, Kusadasi, Mykonos, Patmos, Rhodes and Santorini.


Roundtrips from Istanbul on 1 June and 20 July 2013 explore the Black Sea ports of Constanta, Nessebur, Odessa, Sinop and Yalta, with 1 day at sea. Also spending a day cruising the Mediterranean are the 15 June, 3 August and 21 September 2013 sailings from Athens to Civitavecchia, where mv Tere Moana visits the Corinth Canal, Fiskardo, Ithaca, Lipari, Sorrento and Taormina.


The ship returns to Barcelona on 19 October 2013 from Civitavecchia, calling at Bandol, Cannes, Elba, Monte Carlo, Nice and Sete, thereafter repositioning to Lisbon to operate a cruise along the Iberian coast on 2 November 2013, with stops at Ceuta, Ibiza, Motril, Palma de Mallorca, Portimao and Seville. She then departs for Malaga on 9 November 2013, visiting Almeria, Cartagena, Ceuta, Motril and Valencia. 


Caribbean and South America

For her Caribbean cruises, mv Tere Moana will sail 7-night roundtrips out of St. Martin on 9 March, 16 March, 23 March, 30 November, 7 December, 14 December, 21 December and 28 December 2013. The itinerary takes cruisers to Basseterre, Jost Van Dyke, Les Saintes, St. Barts, Tortola and Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands.


13- and 14-night voyages between St. Martin and Puerto Caldera on 5 January and 24 February 2013 visit Les Saintes, Marenco, Oranjestad, the Panama Canal, St. Barts and Willemstad, with an overnight in Cartagena. The 5 January 2013 sailing will also feature an additional stop in Isla de Coiba, Panama.


Transatlantic Crossings

Operating on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, the ship will make 2 transatlantic crossings during her inaugural season. On 30 March 2013, she departs St. Martin on a 14-night voyage to Lisbon, of which 9 days will be spent at sea and 2 port calls to be made in Las Palmas and Madeira. For her westbound crossing on 16 November 2013, mv Tere Moana offers 10 nights at sea with visits to English Harbour, Las Palmas, Les Saintes and St. Barts.
