Hilton Enters Qatar With Doha Hotel

Hilton Worldwide added Doha to the list of destinations in its global portfolio with the opening of its first property in the Qatari capital under its flagship Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand. Located on the headland of the Corniche, the new 309-room Hilton Doha is a 15-minute drive from the international airport and the city’s commercial, retail and diplomatic districts.

The visually stunning hotel features bright and inviting guestrooms and suites offering views of the Arabian Gulf through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. Neutral and warm colours create a soothing environment for the business traveller, complemented by premium amenities including the luxury Hilton Serenity Bed, spacious bathroom with separate bathtub and shower, LCD television, high-speed internet access, desk-level electrical plugs, workdesk, in-room safe, minibar and coffee-/tea-making facilities.

6 restaurants and bars provide ample choice for guests and locals alike. French and Mediterranean influences abound in the decor and cuisine at the smart and elegant Le Sahtaine, serving brasserie favorites accompanied by fine wines displayed in an all-glass wine cellar. The casual dining restaurant, Mawasem, has 4 live cooking stations that showcase the skills of the chefs and a terrace that opens out onto the pool deck and beach, where Bab Al Baher offers an alternative with juicy burgers and tempting sandwiches. Guests can refresh themselves with a pot of tea and a selection of freshly-baked goods at Ya Hala, before enjoying the sunset at Trader Vic’s and rounding out the evening amidst the relaxed atmosphere of Zawaya.

The Hilton Doha is well-poised to meet the needs of business travellers and meeting planners, with 8 versatile venues capable of accommodating up to 900 guests housed in a dedicated conference wing and supported by a full-service business center. The hotel is also home to the Middle East’s first eforea: spa at Hilton, presenting a menu of rejuvenating treatments and therapies, while an outdoor swimming pool, private beach and kid’s club provide ample recreation options for guests.

Hilton Worldwide now enjoys a presence in major Middle Eastern cities including Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait City, Riyadh, Sharm el Sheikh and Tel Aviv. The group has announced plans to nearly double its existing room capacity in the region, with 40 properties in the pipeline.
