Avalon Waterways, AmaWaterways Add New Ships

As river cruising continues to gain popularity with travellers, operators are introducing new vessels plying European rivers. Avalon Waterways launched the 166-passenger Avalon Vista and the 128-passenger Avalon Visionary, while AmaWaterways christens the new AmaCerto today.

2 More Suite Ships for Avalon Waterways

Named at a dual ceremony in the Netherlands, the Avalon Vista and Avalon Visionary follow on the success of sister vessel Avalon Panorama, which debuted early last year. 2 decks of suites on both ships feature wall-to-wall panoramic windows transforming the living space into a unique open-air balcony, while an onboard bistro, spacious Sky Deck, whirlpool, expanded fitness center, internet corner and complimentary Wi-Fi access offer recreational options.

Avalon Vista and Avalon Visionary will operate cruises on the River Danube and River Rhine, visiting cities and towns including Amsterdam, Bamberg, Basel, Bratislava, Breisach, Budapest, Cologne, Frankfurt, Linz, Melk, Miltenberg, Nuremberg, Passau, Regensburg, Speyer, Strasbourg, Vienna, Wertheim and Wurzburg. Both ships will also sail a selection of Christmastime itineraries to celebrate the festive season.
