Now Open: Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit

French hospitality operator Accor has announced the opening of the new Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, its latest hotel in the Thai capital. Situated on the lively Sukhumvit Road and flanked by the city’s commercial, financial and shopping districts, the 345-room hotel boasts a unique layered stainless steel and glass facade, while the interior decor is inspired by French contemporary art deco styling.

The guestrooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, timber flooring and sophisticated furnishings, with the latter having terraces that provide sweeping skyline panoramas. Plush fabrics accompany the King-sized and twin beds, while the spacious marble bathrooms offer a separate bathtub and shower accompanied by L’Occitane or Hermes bath products. All accomodations are also equipped with LED televisions, iPod docking stations, Bose Wave sound systems and complimentary high-speed internet access, with voicemail telephone, minibar and coffee-/tea-making facilities available as standard.

Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit’s dining options include the all-day dining restaurant Voila, featuring international favorites as part of its ‘Cuisine on Stage’ offering, while the Haussman-style design, outdoor terrace and lounge at L’Appart promises a throwback in time. Guests can also indulge in afternoon tea and delicatessen products from Le Macaron, or sample recommendations from the in-house tea sommelier at The Library. Guests at the swimming pool will enjoy fresh juices and creative cocktails at the Liquide Pool Bar, while the Minerale Spa Bar caters to the well-being of guests with an elite collection of mineral waters from around the world and organic cuisine. In the evenings, Le Bar de L’Hotel comes alive with music performances and tunes from the resident DJ.

Meeting spaces at the hotel are amongst the largest in Bangkok and are equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual and conferencing technology to cater for events of all sizes. For recreation, the exclusive Le Spa offers a sanctuary in which to relax and rejuvenate, while the fitness center provides a landscaped swimming pool, hydrotherapy bath, sauna and gymnasium.

Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit becomes Accor’s 26th property in Bangkok, joining sister hotels including the recently-opened Sofitel So Bangkok and the newly-rebranded Pullman Bangkok Hotel G.
