Australian Expansion For Emirates

Emirates is set to further grow its presence in Australia with the introduction of a fifth destination and increased operations on 2 key routes. The Dubai-based airline will begin flying to Adelaide in November 2012, while adding frequencies to Perth and utilizing the Airbus A380 on Melbourne flights.


New Dubai – Adelaide Flights

Operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, flight EK 440 will depart Dubai at 0155 hrs and arrive in Adelaide at 2045 hrs. The return flight, EK 441, takes off from Adelaide International Airport at 2245 hrs, landing back at Dubai International Airport at 0525 hrs the next day. Emirates will initially fly the route 4 times weekly with a 3-class Boeing 777-300ER, expanding to daily service from 1 February 2013.


More Flights on Dubai – Perth Route

Demand on the Dubai – Perth route continues to be strong and the airline will be raising frequencies. Currently flown double-daily, 5 additional flights will be operated from 1 December 2012, eventually becoming a triple-daily service from 1 March 2013.


Flight EK 422 will take off from Dubai at 2145 hrs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, landing in Perth at 1225 hrs the next day. The 3-class Boeing 777-300ER jet returns as flight EK 423 at 1530 hrs for a 2225 hrs arrival into Dubai.


A380s for Dubai – Melbourne – Auckland Service

Already the world’s largest operator of the Airbus A380, Emirates is deploying the double-deck aircraft on its daily Dubai – Melbourne – Auckland route this October. Flights EK 406/407 will provide increased capacity over the existing Boeing 777-300ER, while passengers benefit from the airline’s flagship hard product in First and Business Class, including the renowned onboard showers.
