The Legian Bali Reopens After Hiatus

Renowned luxury resort The Legian Bali has reopened following an extensive, 4-month renovation to add new facilities and revitalize the 16-year old property. Operator GHM enlisted the help of its guests in the resort’s redesign, which involved work to allow more natural light, airflow, ocean views and greenery indoors.

Guests staying in the exclusive Beach House can now enjoy Bali’s magnificent tropical environment from a new 20-square meter terrace with sunbeds. Inside, the master bedroom has been rearranged to provide better ocean views, while transparent folding doors and more windows let in the cool sea breeze and panoramas of the freshly-manicured gardens.

Other accommodations at The Legian Bali also received new plumbing for better temperature control, a recalibrated air circulation system and lighting solutions on the terrace. The stone pathways and corridors were also redone, complementing the landscaped north gardens and entranceway water ponds.

The resort’s popular Ocean Bar now delivers peerless sunset views, with the wall separating it from the pool area removed to give a greater sense of space. The pool area receives a boost with the addition of a new adult infinity pool, built closer to the shoreline than its 2 other swimming pools.

The Legian Bali is one of 2 luxurious resorts managed by GHM in Bali. The boutique operator maintains a presence in the art district of Ubud with The Chedi Club at Tanah Gajah, in addition to 6 other award-winning properties in Asia and the Middle East.
