Redesigned Hilton Barcelona Welcomes Guests

The Hilton Barcelona has reopened following an extensive refurbishment to its guestrooms, restaurants and public spaces. Located in the city’s financial district and 15 minutes from the international airport, the 20-year old hotel now features the brand’s new lobby concept of a flexible social space.

The stylish and contemporary interior showcases a colourful art installation by Milan-based artist Jacopo Foggini that greets guests as they enter the lobby. Upstairs, the guestrooms and suites created by the UK’s Bevis Design Associates are designed with comfort and convenience in mind. Large windows reveal stunning panoramas that are complemented by minimalist interiors featuring amenities including luxurious bedding, marble bathroom, LCD television, high-speed internet access and a separate work area.

Mosaic Restaurant’s clean-cut interiors accentuate its Mediterranean flavours and collection of wines, where large windows and 2 outdoor terraces offer the best of the Spanish outdoors. Evenings are best spent at the relaxed Vibe bar over cocktails and tapas. An array of whiskies, brandies and port are available, while teetotallers can enjoy a cuppa or some of the world’s finest teas.

7 flexible meeting spaces can be further divided into smaller rooms to cater to functions of all sizes, each equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual and conferencing technology. For recreation, the hotel offers a fully-equipped gymnasium, while sports and sightseeing activities can be arranged by the concierge team.

Hilton Barcelona is one of 5 Spanish properties under the brand. The hotel reopens at a time where the world celebrates sporting excellence with the upcoming Summer Olympic games in London, just as it had first opened in time for the 1992 games in Barcelona.
