Starwood Opens Chinese Ski Resort

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has opened the doors to its first ski resort in China’s Changbaishan mountain range, renowned for its natural beauty and thriving ecosystem. The sprawling, dual-branded complex houses the 297-room Sheraton Changbaishan Resort and the 262-room Westin Changbaishan Resort, enjoying an enviable location near Asia’s biggest ski field, as well as pristine pine forests and the Heavenly Lake.


Sheraton Changbaishan Resort

Offering panoramic mountain and ski views, the Sheraton Changbaishan Resort is definitely a jewel to share with friends and loved ones. Facilitating this is the brand’s Link@Sheraton experienced with Microsoft social hub at the heart of the lobby, designed to rival the best ski lodges in Europe and North America.


The guestrooms and suites are beautifully-appointed with tasteful decor and feature the signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed, while the oversized bathroom incorporates a separate bathtub and rainforest shower. A 42-inch LCD television, iPod docking station and high-speed internet access offer entertainment and connectivity, with the suites benefiting from a Bose surround-sound system, walk-in wardrobe and exclusive amenities.
