Ritz-Carlton Opens Vienna Hotel

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company announces its arrival to Austria with the opening of its latest property in the country’s capital. Located on the central Schubertring Boulevard, the new Ritz-Carlton Vienna combines the brand’s elegant luxury with the city’s cultural heritage.

Comprised of 4 immaculately preserved former palaces, the hotel retains many original features that have been painstakingly integrated into the interior design. A grand marble staircase is complemented by decorative mural paintings and ornate wall carvings that define the property’s character.

The contemporary guestrooms and suites are immaculately furnished, with selected accommodations featuring private balconies that offer views over the city rooftops. Modern amenities and conveniences, including King-sized bed, marble bathroom with rainforest shower, flatscreen television with Geneva Lab iPod docking station, high-speed internet access, workstation, in-room safe, minibar and Nespresso coffee machine, are available for the comfort of guests. The Club Lounge’s location on the seventh floor provides guests with exclusive access to a private concierge service, a gastronomic food and beverage presentation throughout the day and views of the cityscape from its windows below the eaves of the hotel.

Dining options at the Ritz-Carlton Vienna is headlined by the upscale DSTRIKT restaurant from well-known Austrian chef Wini Brugger, who presents classic local dishes and hosts a chef’s table with executive chef Andreas Schatzschneider. At Melounge, guests can indulge in its specialty hot chocolate made with Criollo chocolate, itself produced using the most expensive cacao beans, while champagne is the order of the day at Atmosphere Rooftop Bar & Lounge. Alternatively, D-Bar offers a wide variety of Austrian brews and rum-based specialty cocktails.

Business facilities at the hotel include the stunning, 300-square meter Crystal Ballroom as well as 2 boardrooms and 3 function rooms with natural lighting, supported by a dedicated onsite business centre. For recreation, guests can rejuvenate with treatments from the boutique Guerlain Spa, or enjoy a relaxing swim in the indoor swimming pool. Alternatively, a fully-equipped gymnasium is available.

With the Ritz-Carlton Vienna, there are now 80 properties worldwide under the luxury brand. Ritz-Carlton is set to further boost its presence, with upcoming locations including Abu Dhabi, Aruba and Bangalore.
