Jetstar Asia Boosts Frequencies On Key Routes

Singapore-based low-cost carrier Jetstar Asia has announced frequency upgrades for a number of key routes in its Southeast Asian network, to be operated by its fleet of 180-seat Airbus A320 jets. The news comes as its parent company Qantas revealed new plans to align and strengthen its Singapore operations, following a commercial tie-up with Dubai’s Emirates that will see it relocate its regional hub to the Middle Eastern city.


3 Additional Flights on Singapore – Bangkok, 4 More Flights on Singapore – Phuket Each Week

A popular business and leisure route in Southeast Asia, the Singapore – Bangkok service will see 3 additional flights each week from 28 October 2012. Departing Changi International Airport at 1825 hrs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, flight 3K 517 will arrive in Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 2000 hrs before turning around to return as flight 3K 518 at 2045 hrs, landing back in Singapore at 0015 hrs the next day.


Jetstar Asia will also offer 4 more flights each week on the Singapore – Phuket route, with flight 3K 535 operating on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays with a 1440 hrs departure from Singapore and arriving in Phuket at 1535 hrs. The return flight, 3K 536, takes off from Phuket International Airport at 1615 hrs for a 1905 hrs arrival back at Changi International Airport.


51 Weekly Flights on Singapore – Kuala Lumpur Route

The busy shuttle service between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur will have an additional 36 weekly return flights to meet increased demand, with schedules timed to offer departures throughout the day.


Jetstar Asia will begin to offer an early morning departure with flight 3K 661 operating daily except on Sundays from 28 October 2012, taking off from Changi International Airport at 0555 hrs and landing at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 0700 hrs every morning. The return flight, 3K 662, departs the Malaysian capital at 0745 hrs for a 0850 hrs arrival back in Singapore.


2 mid-morning services offer daily arrivals in time for lunch. On the outbound leg, the flights will depart Singapore at 0930 hrs (3K 663) and 1040 hrs (3K 681), offering arrival times into Kuala Lumpur at 1040 hrs and 1150 hrs respectively. Inbound flights 3K 664 and 3K 682 take off at 1120 hrs and 1230 hrs to land back at Changi International Airport at 1220 hrs and 1330 hrs.


Additional evening flights 3K 669 and 3K 689 provide more options for travellers flying after a day of meetings or sightseeing, departing Singapore at 1800 hrs and 2145 hrs to arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 1910 hrs and 2300 hrs. The aircraft returns as flights 3K 670 and 3K 690, taking off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 1950 hrs and 2340 hrs to land back at Changi International Airport at 2055 hrs and 0040 hrs the next morning respectively.


Daily Singapore – Yangon Flights From 25 December 2012

To take advantage of the burgeoning demand for travel to and from Myanmar, the airline is raising the frequency of its Singapore – Yangon route to daily flights from the current 4 times weekly service. Flight 3K 585 will also operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, taking off from Singapore at 0910 hrs to land in Yangon at 1040 hrs. The return flight, 3K 586, departs from Yangon International Airport at 1140 hrs for a 1620 hrs arrival back at Changi International Airport.
