Four Seasons Enters Azerbaijan

Fueled by an oil boom, Azerbaijan’s capital city Baku has seen a recent increase in the number of international hotel brands operating in the city. Canadian hotel operator Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts becomes the latest to open in the country with a 171-room waterfront property.

Located on Neftchiler Avenue within walking distance from the old city and an easy drive from Heydar Aliyev International Airport gives the hotel an enviable address. Views of the waters of the Caspian Sea or Baku’s traditional architecture accentuate the opulent, classically-inspired interiors, outfitted with luxury amenities including King-sized bedding, marble bathroom and a state-of-the-art in-room entertainment and communications suite.

Four Seasons Baku expands the city’s fine dining scene with 2 chic restaurants, Kaspia and Zafferano. The former enjoys an elevated location on the rooftop serving grills and seafood, while the latter offers Italian dining in a locale that opens out to an outdoor terrace at the edge of the new Philharmonic Park. The comfortable Piazza tea lounge presents an elegant afternoon tea, while sunset hours are best spent at the club-style Bentley’s whiskey bar over a single malt and cigar from the humidor.

Business travellers and event planners will find 8 versatile meeting rooms, including the Segah Grand Ballroom, at their disposal. Leisure guests can pamper themselves at the penthouse spa, indulge in a relaxing swim in the skylit indoor swimming pool or enjoy an energetic workout at the spacious fitness centre.

With the addition of the Four Seasons Baku, the brand now boasts 93 world-class hotels and resorts around the world.
