Starwood Adds Luxury Collection Properties In China And India

Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ Luxury Collection continues its growth in Asia with the addition of 2 new properties this week. The Royal Begonia opens in the resort city of Sanya, while the ITC Grand Chola in Chennai bolsters its successful partnership with the Indian conglomerate.


The Royal Begonia
Situated at Sanya’s Haitang Bay with views of the South China Sea, The Royal Begonia joins Luxury Collection as its first resort and third property in China after Tianjin’s The Astor Hotel and The Hongta Hotel in Shanghai.


142 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and 18 private villas are nestled on the sparkling ivory beaches, featuring a stylish blend of European elegance and local inspiration with natural and soft color palettes, custom-designed furniture including the brand’s signature bed, modern in-room entertainment and communications technology complemented by sophisticated interiors to create a sense of relaxed opulence.


The Royal Begonia offers an incredible variety of culinary experiences including The Begonia, its signature all-day dining restaurant offering creative Italian-Californian cuisine. 280 square meters of event space cater to incentive groups or intimate wedding parties, taking advantage of the resort’s beachfront location.
