Delano Marrakech Opens Today

Morgans Hotel Group brings a piece of Miami’s famed South Beach to Morocco today with the opening of the new Delano Marrakech. Situated in the heart of the city, the 71-room hotel was designed by renowned French architect Jacques Garcia and blends the plush feel of a Moroccan riad with the amenities of a modern Parisian escape.

Each accommodation features luxurious amenities including silk and velvet fabrics paired with traditional Moroccan lighting to create an inviting and intimate space, while the sumptuous bathroom is inspired by boudoirs and offer exclusive MALIN+GOETZ bath products. The brand’s technology focus extends here with a fully-automated lighting and climate-control system, iPad with docking station, HD flatscreen television and high-speed internet access available to guests.

The restaurants at Delano Marrakech offer discerning diners culinary excellence from Michelin-starred chefs Michel Rostang and Giancarlo Morelli. The former’s Bon R presents elegant French dining, while the latter helms Pomiroeu serving hearty Italian cuisine. La Galerie, located in the lobby beneath the soaring rotunda with a retractable roof, is a stylish all-day dining venue. At Namazake, modeled after its celebrated outpost in Marbella, guests dine on an inspired menu of exquisite Japanese delights, ranging from traditional sushi and sashimi to Japanese barbecue and inventive Tempura dishes. Surrounding the space sits Sky Lounge, Delano Marrakech’s outdoor rooftop venue, boasting spectacular 360-degree views of the Red City, the bustling Medina, Agdal Gardens, Imperial ramparts and Atlas Mountains.

Also located on the roof of the hotel is Loft, an exclusive space for private events and meetings with the same stunning views of Marrakech through its floor to ceiling glass wall. A carefully curated selection of boutiques located on the ground level, including the houses of Louis Vuitton, La Perla, Missoni and Tamengo jewellery, are tailored to the discriminating shopper.

Delano Marrakech marks the expansion of the brand and Morgans Hotel Group to North Africa. The hotel will be joined in the city by sister brand Mondrian early next year, when the group opens a 69-room property in the Agdal district.
