Serenade Of The Seas Gets The Royal Advantage

Royal Caribbean International’s 9-year-old Serenade of the Seas has returned to service following an extensive makeover that saw her receive the line’s Royal Advantage upgrades. The eighth ship in the fleet to be revitalized since the programme was announced in 2011, guests can now enjoy nearly double the dining options, enhanced entertainment concepts and technological advancements to improve the cruise experience.

New Signature Dining Venues

5 of Royal Caribbean’s most popular dining concepts have been added onboard. Serenade of the Seas now boasts Italian trattoria Giovanni’s Table, pan-Asian restaurant Izumi Asian Cuisine, vibrant Mexican restaurant Rita’s Cantina, the indoor/outdoor gourmet market Park Cafe and the exclusive Chef’s Table offering a 5-course wine pairing dinner co-hosted by the executive chef and sommelier.

The Centrum Experience

The focal point of the ship, Royal Caribbean has transformed the 5-storey Centrum into a brand new entertainment space. The 60s-inspired R Bar serves as a theatre for a new high-flying aerial display, complemented by enriching daytime activities and dazzling performances at night.

Status Clubs, Family-Focused Upgrades and Technological Enhancements

Serenade of the Seas also features a new Concierge Club for suite guests and a Diamond Club for members of Royal Caribbean’s Crown & Anchor Society loyalty programme. Families will be delighted to find the popular Royal Babies and Tots nursery, while a host of technological improvements including shipboard Wi-Fi, flatscreen televisions in all staterooms, an outdoor LED movie screen on the pool deck and a digital way-finding system, provide convenience and connectivity during their cruise.

Currently cruising the Mediterranean Sea from Barcelona, the ship will reposition to Dubai in January 2013 to operate a series of voyages in the Middle East until April 2013. She then returns to the Mediterranean for the summer cruise season.
