Hilton Worldwide Debuts Waldorf Astoria In Berlin

Hilton Worldwide’s luxury Waldorf Astoria brand has arrived in Germany with the opening of the 232-room Waldorf Astoria Berlin. Situated within the Zoofenster tower designed by local architect Professor Christoph Mackler, the hotel is a short drive from Berlin’s major airports and within easy reach to attractions and corporate addresses.

Measuring at least 42 square meters, the accommodations offer views of the surrounding cityscape and are furnished to provide a luxurious abode to guests during their stay. Taking centerstage is the Waldorf Astoria Signature Bed with 300-threadcount linen, complemented by an elegant chaise lounge while the marble bathroom features a separate toilet and shower accompanied by deluxe bath amenities. Entertainment and communications is delivered via the 40-inch flatscreen with Apple TV technology, clock radio with MP3 connectivity, high-speed internet access and voicemail telephone, together with an adjustable lighting system, private bar and Nespresso coffee machine for convenience.

Timeless elegance defines the decor of the Waldorf Astoria Berlin’s restaurants and lounges. Headlining the offering is Les Solistes by Pierre Gagnaire, featuring a subdued yet stylish decor reflective of the celebrated chef’s contemporary French fine dining cuisine. Romanisches Cafe recreates the bohemian setting favoured by the intelligentsia of the city to meet and philosophize over casual dining items, while the Peacock Alley lobby lounge features Noble Portoro marble and a glass roof for a modern take on the Art Deco movement. Rounding up the quartet is the sophisticated Lang Bar, named after one of Berlin’s most colourful and influential residents, movie director Fritz Lang.

Waldorf Astoria Berlin’s selection of flexible function spaces cater to events of all sizes, ranging from large-scale conventions to cozy boardroom meetings. Germany’s first and only Guerlain Spa offers a wide range of rejuvenating massage and wellness treatments, complemented by an indoor swimming pool, thermal zone and state-of-the-art fitness facilities.

Currently boasting more than 20 locations around the world (including Edinburgh, London, Paris and Rome in Europe), Waldorf Astoria is set to continue the legacy of its flagship hotel in New York. The brand will debut in Panama, Ras Al Khaimah and Jerusalem this year, with hotels being developed in Amsterdam, Bangkok, Beijing, Chengdu, Crete, Dubai, Montreal and Sanya.
