Starwood Reopens Le Meridien Mina Seyahi

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has reopened the Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina in Dubai, following a 11-month refurbishment of the property. The property now boasts aspects of Le Meridien’s design and brand elements in its guestrooms and public areas, mixing contemporary culture with its European heritage.

New tiling, carpets, wooden fixtures and artwork adorn the reception area, evoking a feel reminiscent of the grand hotels in Europe whilst retaining a modernist touch with clever audio-visual elements. The decor continues at the hotel’s club lounge, paired with panoramic views of the marina and Arabian Sea.

All 220 guestrooms and suites have been redecorated with a classic and chic design to create an art-inspired environment with works from local artists. Lavish furnishings, including King-sized and twin beds, a spacious bathroom with separate bathtub and shower, flatscreen television with satellite programming, high-speed internet access, IDD telephone, in-room safe, minibar and coffee-/tea-making facilities, cater to the needs of business and leisure travellers. Guests staying in the resort’s Club rooms enjoy additional benefits including complimentary transfers from Dubai International Airport, continental breakfast and daily cocktail hour in the Club Lounge, VIP amenities and butler service.

In addition to longtime favorites Barasti and the Horizon Pool & Bar, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina gains 3 new dining concepts. Latest Recipe is a new all-day dining brasserie serving contemporary dishes from around the world in a stylish and casual setting. Marrying new flavours and recipes to time-honoured Japanese techniques, Watatsumi features a unique “raw bar” offering fine quality sushi and sashimi. Completing the trio is the Latitude Bar located within The Hub (Le Meridien’s reinterpretation of the traditional hotel lobby), designed as a coffee bar by day and an intimate lounge bar by night.

For recreation, guests can look forward to a variety of water- and land-based activities. The watersports centre offers banana boat rides, sailing, waterskiing and wakeboarding, windsurfing, sport fishing and a selection of beach games on the pristine private beach. A dedicated lap pool caters to serious swimmers, while 4 floodlit tennis courts and the Club Mina fitness centre provide options for a total body workout. Younger guests are well taken care of at the Penguin Club with a host of games and activities.
