Scoot Commences Qingdao, Shenyang Flights

Singapore-based low cost carrier Scoot has expanded its reach in China with the start of new services to Qingdao and Shenyang in the country’s northeast. The inaugural flight departed Changi International Airport yesterday morning, flying overnight to arrive in Qingdao shortly after 0700 hrs and continuing to Shenyang following a brief stop.


Operated by the airline’s bright yellow Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, flight TZ 086 departs Singapore at 0005 hrs every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday to arrive in Qingdao at 0605 hrs. The flight continues at 0720 hrs to Shenyang, where it arrives at 0905 hrs. The return service, TZ 085, takes off from Shenyang Taoxian International Airport at 1030 hrs for Qingdao’s Liuting International Airport, landing at 1200 hrs before taking off again at 1310 hrs for a 1925 hrs arrival back in Singapore.


Scoot’s Qingdao and Shenyang services will offer greater connectivity between Singapore and northeastern China, where there are currently limited services by Chinese carriers. Both cities join Tianjin as the airline’s second and third Chinese destinations.
