Fairmont Opens Palm Jumeirah Property

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened the new Fairmont The Palm, located in the heart of Dubai’s iconic Palm Jumeirah. Easy access to the international airport and the emirate’s attractions are coupled with Arabic-influenced design incorporating elements of the sun, sea and sand synonymous with the region to create a jewel in the brand’s growing portfolio in the Middle East.

Featuring 381 guestrooms and suites (including 2 Presidential Suites), the resort offers some of the finest accommodations on the man-made island. Each combines contemporary decor with practical functionality and is luxuriously appointed with King- or Queen-sized beds, 5-piece marble bathroom with separate rainforest shower, high-definition LED television, high-speed internet access, media panel, in-room safe, refreshment centre and Nespresso coffee machine. The brand’s residence club product, Fairmont Heritage Place, will also be available with ten 1- and 2-bedroom residences for purchase by discerning guests.

A wide selection of dining options can be found at the resort, ranging from international cuisine at the all-day dining Flow Kitchen (featuring an intimate chef’s studio for culinary demonstrations and seminars) to Frevo, an authentic Brazilian Churrascaria experience accompanied by a large collection of cachaca-based cocktails and vibrant live music. With a prized position overlooking the Arabian Gulf, Seagrill on 25° Restaurant & Lounge serves up freshly-grilled meats and seafood with an extensive shisha menu for a unique sundowner experience, while the upcoming Ba restaurant celebrates the culinary and cultural traditions of China with bold flavours to performances by the resident Kung Fu Tea master and artists honed in the ancient art of Bian Lian. Set against the backdrop of arabesque design, the Mashrabiya Lounge features al fresco terraces and a full range of offerings for afternoon tea or evening cocktails, before guests proceed to The Cigar Room for pairings of cigars, whiskies, wines and chocolates. Before leaving, guests can stop by Delicacy, a takeaway deli to pick up baked goods, handcrafted chocolates and many of the hotel’s home-made sauces and condiments.

Meetings and events at the Fairmont The Palm benefit from over 3,000 square meters of flexible function space. 7 versatile rooms (of which 6 are flooded with natural light and feature an outdoor terrace) cater to large-scale corporate functions and private social receptions, while a magnificent ballroom accommodates up to 600 guests. Recreation and wellness is taken care of at Fairmont’s Willow Stream Spa, opening next month and inspired by nature’s elements and healing powers. A Middle Eastern hammam delivers authentic Arabic experiences, while signature men’s and ladies’ treatments are on offer at this quiet sanctuary. Other recreational facilities include a fully-equipped fitness centre, outdoor pool complex and the Fairmont The Palm’s private beach.

Fairmont The Palm joins its sister hotel the Fairmont Dubai as the brand’s second property in the emirate. Within the UAE, the company also manages the Fairmont Bab al Bahr in Abu Dhabi and is developing new hotels in Ajman and Fujairah.
