Cathay Pacific Re-opens The Wing First Class Lounge

Travellers flying Cathay Pacific Airways can look forward to an enhanced lounge offering at its Hong Kong base. The Oneworld member recently re-opened the First Class section of its award-winning The Wing lounge.

The re-opening of The Wing’s newly-renovated First Class section completes the airline’s project to upgrade its flagship lounge in Hong Kong. Leading architects Foster + Partners oversaw the re-design that sees the new space awash with natural light and materials such as bamboo and eucalyptus.

The lounge’s Haven dining area has been doubled in size and boasts a larger buffet counter complemented by a new a la carte offering. Champagne lovers will appreciate the new Champagne Bar, as well as the much-loved Long Bar overlooking the runway.

5 Cabana units now contain a spacious shower, full-sized bathtub and a daybed for passengers to relax and enjoy prior to their flight. 12 smaller, but no less equipped, shower suites are available to refresh and rejuvenate.

Open daily from 0530 hrs to the last departure, The Wing set industry standard for airline lounges when it was first opened in 1998. The lounge’s refreshed First Class section is open to Cathay Pacific First Class passengers, Marco Polo Club Diamond-tier members and Oneworld Emerald status holders.
