Now Open: The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal

Luxury hotel and resort operator Ritz-Carlton has made its debut in Abu Dhabi with the opening of The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal, its new flagship property in the UAE. Inspired by the Renaissance architecture and urban planning of Venice, the 532-key beach resort is set amidst beautiful landscaped gardens with views of the majestic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

The accommodations are spread across 10 stately buildings in a crescent layout. 447 guestrooms and suites are luxuriously furnished to present a sophisticated and relaxed feel. Neutral hues and dark wood panels combine with 400-threadcount linen, spacious marble bathrooms accompanied by Asprey bath products, flatscreen televisions, high-speed internet access, dual-line telephones, electronic in-room safe, fully-stocked minibar and Nespresso coffee machine to offer comfort and convenience to guests. The resort also offers 85 private villas ranging in size from 90 to 130 square meters and incorporating outdoor terraces under African teak pergolas.

10 on-site restaurants and lounges represent a culinary journey at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal, where award-winning design firm Super Potato was commissioned to style the outlets’ interiors. Giornotte, the all-day dining Mediterranean restaurant, resembles a classic Italian villa and features an outdoor brick patio overlooking the gardens, while signature restaurants Li Jiang, The Forge and Mijana showcase oriental, western and arabic favorites in contemporary settings. The casual vibe of Alba, Al Fresco and Dolce offer refreshing options for guests to relax, before ending the day with sundowners at the Pool Bars or cocktails at Sorso.

The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal proves to be the ideal venue for high-level conferences and events. 2,182 square meters of flexible meeting space, including the grand Roma Ballroom, are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and supported by a full suite of business services. Leisure travellers can take advantage of the pampering treatments at the all-encompassing spa which includes an expansive fitness centre, while the private beach and 1,600-square meter outdoor swimming pool offers respite from the desert heat.

With the addition of its latest jewel in Abu Dhabi, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company now manages 9 world-class hotels and resorts across the Middle East. Globally, the brand’s portfolio covers 81 properties with further expansion targeted for Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America.
